This fossilized dinosaur egg nest is from China, imported before their ban on exported dinosaur fossils. The eggs were laid by a vegetarian dinosaur of the Dendroolithus species during the late Cretaceous period. They were found in the Xixia Basin, Henan. The shell structure of the round eggs indicates to scientists that the eggs appear to be related to the taxonomic group Omithopoda. This group of five brown fossilized eggs is in a rust colored matrix. Two eggs, one 4x5.5" and one 2x3", have all of their shells. Two eggs, 4x5.5" and 4.5x5", have three-fourths of their shells.
